A Finished Project for GIMP 3.x

Funky is now a finished project. The tutorials, fundamentals, and plug-in examples here remain as a complete guide to writing Script-Fu for GIMP 3.x: functional programming, TinyScheme, and building personal art tools.

The Workflow Continues in Lumi-o

I have transferred this workflow to Lumi-o, an artist-led, Linux-only painting application built on GIMP’s core architecture. Lumi includes its own embedded Scheme interpreter. It’s the same language family as Script-Fu, but rebranded, enhanced and replete with many useful utility functions.

Those helpers ship as a built-in stdlib (images, layers, files, paths, GEGL, and more) and are available in any plug-in or in the Scheme Console. Language fundamentals, tutorials, tools, plug-in examples, and the in-app reference all live in Lumi’s Scripting section.
